Privacy policy

How Stone Foot Foundation collects, uses and passes on your details when you ask for foundation repair quotes in Des Moines, and how to ask for a copy or a deletion.

Who we are

This website, stonefootfoundation.com, is operated by Happy Life Marketing, a sole proprietorship based in New Brunswick, Canada. It publishes information about foundation repair in Des Moines, and passes requests to independent local foundation repair businesses in the Des Moines area, who quote and do the work.

Your details are handled in Canada. What you type into a form on this site is received and stored by us in Canada. We are telling you this plainly because it is your information and you should know where it goes. Canadian privacy law applies to how we handle it, and the privacy laws of your own state apply to your rights over it. Both are covered below.

What we collect

There are two forms on this site, and they do different things.

The quote form asks for your full name, phone number, email address, street address, city or town, the type of work, when you would like it done, and any details you add. This is the one that goes to a contractor.

The contact form, on the contact page, asks only for your name, your email address, what your message is about, and the message itself. It comes to us and goes no further.

When you send the quote form we also record that you checked the consent box, the date and time you checked it, the page you were on, and the exact wording you agreed to. We keep that because it is the only way to show later what you were told and what you agreed to.

Our website host keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, to keep the site secure and working, and the security software on the site keeps a similar record of requests. The site sets no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies of its own.

Why we collect it

We use the details from the quote form to pass your request to a local foundation repair contractor so they can contact you and quote, and to keep a record of which contractor received it. We use anything you send through the contact form only to answer you.

Who we pass it to

We pass the details from the quote form to one independent local foundation repair contractor, who may contact you about the work. Once a business has your details, it handles them under its own privacy policy, not ours.

Messages sent through the contact form are not passed to any contractor, or to anyone else.

We do not sell your details. We do not pass them to a list, a broker, or anyone else for marketing.

The site is hosted by Hostinger, which handles the data only as part of providing that hosting.

How long we keep it

We keep request records for as long as we need them to handle the job and keep track of referrals, and no longer than two years. We keep the record of your consent for longer, because it is the evidence of what you agreed to, and it is no use to either of us if it is thrown away while a question about it could still be raised.

Your rights

Under the privacy laws of your state, for example the CCPA in California, you can ask for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them. Ask through the contact page and we will reply within the time the law sets. We can delete what we hold, and we will ask the contractor to delete their copy, but once a request has reached them that copy is theirs and is covered by their own policy. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the privacy regulator for your state.

Because we operate from Canada, Canadian privacy law also applies to us. It gives you the same core rights: to know what we hold, to see it, to have mistakes corrected, and to complain. Use the same contact page for any of it. A complaint about how we have handled your details can also go to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Your details are protected in transit by the encrypted connection this site runs on, and the accounts that can reach them are limited to us. Happy Life Marketing is responsible for the details you send, and the contact page reaches the person accountable for them.

We will not ask you to prove who you are beyond what we need to be sure we are not giving your details to someone else.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date. Where the change affects what you already agreed to, we keep the older wording too, with the dates it was live.

The contact page takes any privacy question.
